A detailed report will describe of the systems, who is accessing them and why, hardware and software risks and exposures, the value proposition for the data, the costs incurred to keep the data accessible, and the potential recovery costs should the current hardware and software fail, or alternatively, the potential costs should the data NOT be available and is requested for a legal or regulatory matter. This report will become a necessary strategic component as your organization does data center and resource planning, new software implementations and upgrades, and Data Retention Policies.
